Key Responsibilities

Engine Performance Testing
- Conduct tests to evaluate power, torque, fuel efficiency, and reliability.
- Use advanced equipment to measure engine performance under varied conditions.
- Recommend design improvements to enhance engine functionality.

Durability & Emissions Testing
- Perform durability tests for engine life and wear resistance.
- Conduct emissions tests to comply with BSVI, Euro 6, and other standards.
- Measure pollutants such as NOx, CO2, and particulate matter.

Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze fuel efficiency, power output, and NVH characteristics.
- Generate detailed reports for engineering teams and management.
- Use statistical tools to identify trends and anomalies.

Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure test procedures meet industry and company standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams.
- Implement corrective actions for any test deviations.

Test Plan Development & Execution
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy through structured methodologies.
- Update test protocols with technological advances.

Collaboration & Troubleshooting
- Work with design, calibration, and validation teams.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software engine issues.
- Participate in cross-functional innovation meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering.
- Strong academic record with 60% & above throughout academics.
- 3-10 years experience in engine testing, validation, and analysis.
- Hands-on with engine test beds, dynamometers, emissions systems, and diagnostics.
- Experience in commercial vehicle or automotive engine testing is a plus.
Technical & Soft Skills
Technical Skills
- Engine testing & instrumentation: dynamometers, combustion analyzers, emissions equipment.
- Knowledge of engine mapping, ECU calibration, and data logging tools.
- Failure analysis and root cause investigation abilities.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, AVL Concerto, INCA, Excel, Python, and statistical tools.
- Understanding of BSVI, Euro 6, ISO, SAE, and ARAI protocols.
